Specializing in a more clinical approach to massage, my work is focused around injuries due to auto accidents, work injuries, sports injuries, pre/post operative and repetitive stress. I combine a variety of techniques, such as, neuromuscular therapy/normalization of soft tissue, integrative therapy, structural integration and sports massage. Treating such diagnosis including, but not limited to,whiplash, chronic pain, limited mobility, carpal tunnel, thoracic outlet syndrome, postural corrections, osteoarthritis pain, fibromyalgia, muscle tension or spasm.
I have built a well rounded and solid foundation of clinical knowledge and hands on work through opportunities including hospital Surgical and Oncology units, Chiropractors & Physical Therapists Seattle and Tacoma, performers and musicians with Seattle Symphony and Pacific Northwest Ballet, Beijing 2008 and Whistler 2010 Olympics, Transition Bike Professional Downhill Mountain Bike Team, performers and musicians with Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus and Cirque du Soleil. Under direct supervision of staff veterinarians, I've had unique opportunities to expand my knowledge and experience with animals at the Detroit Zoo and Point Defiance Zoo.
Since finishing my Yoga Certification, I have brought my practice to one on one sessions, mainly working with elderly and injured. I have found working with those that have prosthetics or replaced joints has given much relief and confidence to my patients. I would call my classes more boutique style, smaller classes with more attention available for form.
